Born 1/21/41 in Easton, Pennsylvania (I skipped a grade in elementary school). Education: Fort Smith Junior College and University of Arkansas, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Juris Doctorate 1965.
Following law school I was employed as a law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court and after that was an attorney agent with the Internal Revenue Service.
From 1967 to the present, I have been with the same law firm (Mitchell Williams) in Little Rock, Arkansas, specializing primarily in tax law, construction law and real estate law.
I am married to the former Cecillia Orsburn of Fort Smith. I have two daughters, Angela and Jennifer, both married. No grandchildren yet but hopefully sometime in the near future.
My hobbies consist primarily of wilderness canoeing in the United States and Canada and other outdoor sports in general. My hobbies have been curtailed somewhat by the loss of my right leg below the knee in 1999.
Although generally life has been good, I have experienced a number of chronic health problems, which have slowed me down somewhat. Outlook: I intend to work as long as I am able.
I often think back to the good old days at Fort Smith High School and those remembrances are some of the best in my life. I currently reside at 36 Chevaux Circle, Little Rock, Arkansas 72223. My home phone number is 501-868-4545 and my work number is 501-688-8803.
