My wife Nancy (also class of '58) and I have been married 42 years. Since we both went to Rogers Grade School, Fort Smith Junior High and Fort Smith
Senior High together we grew up with the same interests and same friends.
We have been blessed with two fine children. Meredith, her husband Dan Simpson and their children Paige, Evan and Rachel live just a few blocks from us.
She is a pre-school teacher at Hobson School. Jason is the Human Resources Director for Hallmark Cards' greeting card division. He works at their
corporate office in Kansas City, Missouri. Jason, his wife Kim, and their children, Reiss, Abby, Will, and Jack live in Overland Park, Kansas.
Besides raising children, I have been primarily in warehousing. I have spent twenty years in the Public Warehouse business and seventeen years in private
warehousing (Director of Materials for Pradco Plastics Research in Fort Smith - The Worlds largest fishing lure manufacture- REBEL - CORDEL - HEDDON and
others) I am currently the Sales Manager for Arkansas Warehouse Inc. in Fort Smith. We operate over 800,000 square feet with two facilities in Fort Smith
and one in Van Buren. We have 65 employees and three primarily customers - WHIRPOOL, RHEEM and GEORGIA-PACIFIC. We act as third party logistic providers
by being a major distribution center for each company.
I have been an active volunteer for 40 years. I am the Past President of the Fort Smith School Board, the Sebastian County School Board, the Commissary
Kiwanis Club, the Fort Smith Racquet Club, the Town Club, the Purchasing Association and A.P.I.C.'s (the American Production and Inventory Control Society).
I am a past chairman of the Civic Auditorium Commission and a past member of the Fort Smith Port Authority.
I have been an active adult volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America for forth years and am a past Council President for the Westark Area Council, which is
composed of 17 counties in NW Arkansas serving over 10,000 youth.
Nancy and I have truly enjoyed serving as your chairs for the 10, 20, 30, 40, and 45th '58 class reunions. We both look forward to seeing all of you soon.
