I still live in Cedar Falls, IA, where I have lived since 1971 (except for 2 ½ years in Springfield, MO, following my divorce in 1993). Moving back to Cedar Falls was definitely the right thing to do. I thought retirement and a move back “home” were in the cards for me this spring; but, for various reasons, I have decided to stay in Cedar Falls.
My four sons and their families are still scattered across the U.S. Greg and Joy are in Fayetteville, NC; Blake and Kathy (Andy, Jake and Brenna) are in Missoula, MT; Ryan and Kim have divorced – Ryan lives in Boca Raton, FL, and Kim and the children (Alex, Remy, Travis and Serenity) have moved to Orlando; and Troy and Susan (Zach, Anna, Blake and Taya Lee) live here in Cedar Falls.
I’ve been employed as a secretary at the University of Northern Iowa for almost 10 years and, after work, I’m pretty much a stay-at-home person – love reading, stitching reproduction antique samplers, and have a stash of fabric and patterns for quilting projects.
Looking forward to our 50th reunion!
