Tinka McCann - Addendum #1

Most of my time is now spent in mid-coast Maine, although we still have residences in NYC and Miami. Life in Maine is amazing and I absolutely love living here…I paint, garden, work on our house renovations and  work on the Board of Trustees for the Farnsworth Art Museum.  This area has great natural beauty  everywhere and the people are (mostly!) wonderful. Much of our food is grown locally and we buy as much as possible from local farmers. There also is a vigorous cultural life with lots of artists, craftsmen, musicians  and interesting people with fascinating past careers...

There are two websites that might be of interest to old friends. One is my art site www.marybaldwincollins.com. and the other is about a "green" barn that my husband, Keith, is building www.brightbuiltbarn.com. It is completely energy independent and generates some electricity for our home in addition to heating itself throughout the long Maine winters. The project has brought together state of the art technology in green building and alternative energy and the information is open-sourced…

Since I last wrote, we have had four grandchildren…they are, of course, absolutely adorable. Our daughter and her family are living in Boston and our son and his family are living in Ridgefield, CT.

I remain a political progressive and am fascinated by the online political blogging communities and their growing impact as the mainstream media becomes more entertainment focused. In earlier class notes, I was always searching for what to do next…Law school? Architecture? A new business?... and now suddenly, all the seemingly different strands have come together into a meaningful and interesting life and I'm here and healthy enough to enjoy it! I count my blessings hour to hour and am so thankful for our family and our continued good health…

Thank you, Dick, for all you have done for our class! We really do have the best website...

I will miss seeing everyone at the reunion…
