My early school days were spent in Russellville, Arkansas and I began attending Ramsey Junior High at age 14; then FSHS, followed by two years at Arkansas Tech. After six months of Army duty I enrolled at the University of Arkansas. I was called to active duty (Arkansas National Guard) in 1961, after which I graduated from the U of A with a BSBA degree in Accounting.
I worked for Pan American Petroleum in Tulsa for three years, attended school and came within six months of attaining my Masters Degree in Business. Worked for ABF in Fort Smith for three years, then on to Little Rock and two years employment at St. Vincent’s Infirmary, one year at Federal Express, then went to work in Fort Smith for Rheem Manufacturing from which I retired in September of 1995, after which I went to work for North Hill Networks and retired again in July of 2002.
In 1961 I married a Fort Smith girl from St. Scholastica and we raised two daughters; Kristin, age 25, who is an art instructor in Pulaski County, and Meghan, age 23, who received a degree from the University of Tulsa in Art History and is currently working on her Master’s Degree. My wife and I were married for 33 years.
I have since been married again for two years and am currently divorced. My residence is in Fort Smith, but my “home away from home” is on Lake Tenkiller where I try and succeed to spend most of my time.
It will be good to see all of you at the reunion.
