Following High School Graduation and brief period at then Fort Smith Junior College I entered the Navy.
After completing that tour, I was fortunate to become associated with the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics in Groton, Connecticut. I enjoyed a 34 year successful career in the nuclear shipbuilding industry, during which I was fortunate to meet my wife for life, Jean.
During a brief four years in England as a consultant to the Royal Navy on their Nuclear Submarine program, Jean and I witnessed the birth of our two daughters Suzanne and Stephanie, and then Thomas back in Rhode Island.
We lived in Pawcatuck, Connecticut for 27 years and following retirement bought townhouses in Sebring, Florida and Hope Valley, Rhode Island, hoping to commute every six months. We did that for two years and decided to live in Sebring permanently, so we sold our townhouses and bought a home on two lovely golf courses where we enjoy golf and the club life.
I retired from corporate life at 56, and since then enjoy the “Life of Riley” here in Florida.
If anyone comes to the Sebring area give us a call, enjoy seeing old friends.
